Dr. Iijima, originally from Japan, moved to the U.S. to build her career as a Clinical Psychologist. She earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University-California School of Professional Psychology. Since 2007, she has worked with clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities. In 2013, Dr. Iijima founded her private practice to give back to the community by drawing on her personal and professional experiences. She has also been enjoying supervising doctoral interns.  In 2020, she launched Hikari Adult & Older Adult Psychological Care Inc., aiming to be "The Light" in her clients' lives during challenging times (Hikari means Light in Japanese).
