Treatment

Dr. Iijima is a health psychologist concerned with clients' biological, social, behavioral and psychological aspects that affect their health and illness.  The mind and body is connected, and working on gaining a balance between them is essential for their well-being.  Psychotherapy will help you increase awareness of what is going on in your mind and body and their connection, and build coping skills for stress by using your strengths and developing new techniques.  It will help you understand yourself and start a change in your thinking and behavior and bring you relief.

Dr. Iijima works with cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, while utilizing humanistic/existential and psychodynamic approaches depending on clients' needs.
